• New plan of attack
• New product expansion ideas
• New marketing ideas
• New Implementation methods

1. Facilitating Ideation

One thing that is tricky as a manager is figuring out how to best support your team. What that really means is: are you able to facilitate an environment best suited for their work-style?

In general, research on high-performing teams has shown that the following factors contribute to such an environment:

• Encouraging unique forms of ideation
• Structuring forms of documentation
• Prioritizing both individual thinking AND groupthinking
• Giving space to think instead of pressuring for results
• Recognizing unique characteristics (are they loud, soft-spoken, prone to complex ideas, etc.)
